A very good day in Chester zoo by Ahmed M 6C

                                                                     Chester zoo!

On Wednesday,we went out to a Zoo called Chester zoo-which we had learnt so much about the rainforest and the endangered species.But the main lesson was that we really need to use palm oil because if we do ,non of the animals would be endangered.If we use palm oil,the people who cut down trees, will not any more longer cut down the rainforest and then the animals in the rainforest will be safe.

So we went to the work shop and we met a lady called Niayara.She met us and told us we are going to do how a hornbill feeds a baby hornbill and believe me,it was a very very hard to do that and I do not now how the male hornbill does that hard thing feeding the baby hornbills.

So when we went to look at the beautiful animals and insects.We went to the fruit bat place.It was very scary and dark in there and one of them landed on my right hand and I was very scared and just then it came out of my hand.All of the animal was very very good and very beautiful.So I will always use palm oil so the animals will be very safe.

My time at Chester Zoo 

On Wednesday 5th of February, me and my class were invited to Chester zoo. Recently, rangers from the zoo taught us about something called palm oil: palm oil is basically a type of oil that is used worldwide. However, some farmers are destroying rainforest land in order to place palm oil plantations. You may think there is nothing wrong since pal oil trees are trees. The truth is animals are losing their homes such as red apes. Chester zoo invited us so we could spread the message of pal oil...

Me and my class learnt that there is one way of preventing the rainforests to perish. BUY SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL STUFF AND DO THE PAL OIL CONGA! Anyways, when we arrived at the zoo, Mike (one of the rangers) guided us until we reached the red ape zone. Niara- who was our normal ranger- led us an activity. The activity was when we had to act like hornbills. It was cool, I guess. Anyways we wandered through the red ape zone: it was magical.

Sadly, the activity was over. We ventured through the exhibits. It was sad to see majestic animals being killed by HUMANS! However, it was worth it since we might have saw some animals that might go extinct in the future. The bats were my favourite as they sawed above your heads and rested on your arms.

Well, that was pretty much it. Hopefully, I might get another chance to see these animals...

Best trip to Chester Zoo ever Tina 6C

Year 6’s best Zoo trip!

 Wednesday 5th February we (year 6) Zoo. First before the trip we did some workshops about rainforest and endangered animals from Borneo and Sumatra.

We had it for 3 weeks.We did our workshop and humans- with Niara and Mike from Chester Zoo.Niara told us to sing a song about palm oil. Mike came here for one day and told us to draw our faces on a tiny piece of card board so he can print on a bag. 

When the day came (Wednesday 5th February) we went to Chester zoo. When we got there Mike lead us to the first workshop was when we go to see the orangutangs. My favourite part was when we went to see the meerkat they were so cute. One of our teacher that went with us putted a sound three meerkat stood up it was so amazing!

In my class, a Chester Zoo staff came in and explained to us about how the rain forest is being destroyed by the growing of non sustainable palm oil. Naira ( one of the Chester Zoo staffs ) encouraged us to try and be as sustainable as possible and to be aware and buy anything that has the sustainable palm oil logo. She also told us to encourage others and spread the word of being sustainable and checking for the label. This is why we went on our amazing trip to Chester Zoo.

The day that we visited the zoo, it was fantastic. We visited many animals and it was actually a nice day to come to the zoo. Meanwhile on our trip, we saw some incredible animals but it was sad that some of the animals in the zoo such as Orangutans were critically endangered because of palm oil plantation. ( not all palm oil is bad only non sustainable oil is very effective to animals in a bad way ). Chester Zoo is a really great zoo and do anything they can to spread the message of sustainable palm oil and they try their hardest to make sure non of the animals end up becoming extinct.

During our phenomenal trip, we got to see how many animals live their life endangered or normally as their own species. It was very fascinating and it was great about how we had the opportunity to actually see and visit these incredible animals. We saw some breathtaking species: the feline family, Rhinos, the bird family, the monkey family, Bats, Lizards, Snakes, Meerkats, the bear family and much more animals. Overall my trip was amazing and I would love to visit Chester Zoo once again to see other animals that I didn’t get a chance to see. Remember to always be sustainable.

    Amazing adventure in Chester zoo

My class was visited by Chester zoo a few weeks before our big trip(on 5th February 2020).We we’re learning about being sustainable and saving the rainforest.They taught us the palm oil conga:it is a song they taught us to be sustainable.Our ranger were called Niara and Mike.

The work shops were fun;there are lots of endangered animals in Borneo and Sumatra due to deforestation.After the workshops we went to Chester zoo I was in a group with my assistant teacher-Mr Molenuex. When we entered the zoo the first animal that I could see were the elephants,they were huge!As I was walking I saw lots of animals:giraffes,meerkats,okapis,bats,rhinos,snakes and much more!

Overall I loved the zoo my favourites are definitely snakes because they were so long,rhinos because they were huge and bats.On the way home I was a bit sad it ended but also happy I had a great experience.I found a pound in the bus.

My Amazing Chester Zoo Trip By AhmedG

Recently, we were invited to Chester Zoo as we were raising awareness for sustainable palm oil. Before we went to the zoo, we had a series of workshops on Wednesdays every week. This taught us the PALM OIL CONGA and how to be sustainable which means to be kept at a certain rate we did these, we were supplied with an all expenses paid trip to the zoo. 

On Wednesday 5th 2020, we left for the zoo. The coach ride was 50 minutes long. When we arrived, We were greeted by Mike (with us ) and he was our guide until we reached the land of the red ape were we were left with nyara ( who was our original teacher on the workshops ) 

At the zoo, we visited a range of animals such as meerkats, tigers and bears. I loved the meerkats because they were cute and had a very overprotective base. There was also the bats, which scared everyone. Also the tiger was cool because it was fast.

I hope you have learnt how much this means to the environment and also to me! I would also like to thank Chester zoo, who had given us the chance to see all of this.
